The History of a Church: The Forty Year History of Memorial Road Church
Located near the campus of Oklahoma Christian University, the Memorial Road Church of Christ is a loving community of people that exist to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, caring service, and life-changing ministries.
This book was created to capture forty-years of the events that formed the church from it’s conception in the Royce Cafe at the corner of 4th and Broadway in Edmond, Oklahoma.
On July 7, 1962, C. A. Buchanan and James O. Baird met to discuss plans for starting a congregation that would serve the students of the university. Today, the congregation is among the largest within the Churches of Christ community.
